Delhi Capitals’ batsman Steve Smith is all positive about the Delhi Capitals in the ongoing IPL 2021. The former Australian skipper has shared his experience with the Capitals under the leadership of Rishab Pant.
Steve Smith, who was selected as the skipper of Rajasthan Royals during the 2019 season, was released by the Jaipur-based franchise ahead of the 2021 auction before he was consequently picked up by the Ricky Ponting-coached Delhi Capitals.
Speaking about his experience at the Delhi Capitals thus far, Steve Smith revealed that it has been an enjoyable time thus far for him and he is looking forward to achieving his ultimate goal, that is winning the IPL.
“It hasn’t been difficult at all, just a really good group of people. Ana, who brings everyone together, you know for a common cause, and that’s trying to do everything we can, to make the time enjoyable for everyone but winning the IPL is obviously the ultimate goal.” said Steve Smith in a video uploaded by the Delhi Capitals Twitter handle.

Smith said that he enjoyed batting alongside Dhawan during the run-chase against the Mumbai Indians and he is looking forward to converting his starts into big knocks in the upcoming games.
“Nice to spend a bit of time in the middle with Shikhar the other day. You know he’s batting superbly, so takes a lot of pressure off. So it was nice to spend some time out there and enjoy it and yeah hopefully some big runs in the next few games.” the Australian concluded.
The Delhi Capitals have won three of their first four fixtures and they will now lock horns with SunRisers Hyderabad in the Chepauk stadium in Chennai on Sunday [April 25].
