A lot has been talked about Rohit Sharma and his injury in the last few days. With no official confirmations, plenty of mixed signals and outside comments, the issue was getting pretty big.
The MI skipper was also not selected in the Indian squad for the tour of Australia which was announced a few days back. This made the Indian cricket fans think that Rohit’s injury was pretty serious.
Although, BCCI statement did make it clear that Rohit Sharma might join the team in Australia once he recovers. But recent reports portrayed that Rohit Sharma was very unlikely to get the go ahead from the board to join the team later due to the intensity of COVID-19 and bio-bubble requirements.
With the tour still more than a month away, the selectors’ decision made many believe that Rohit Sharma’s injury was serious. But just moments after the squad announcement, the batsman returned to training in the nets, leaving many surprised.
Then many senior cricketers like Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar has criticized Mumbai Indians management and Rohit Sharma himself for not bringing the issue in light. Gavaskar even demanded that BCCI should bring some transparency to his injury.
But, but, but, the Rohit Sharma injury saga has taken yet another surprising turn with the Mumbai Indians skipper making a come back to his side’s playing eleven for the match against SunRisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Rohit Sharma declares Himself as Fit.
If playing the last league match of the IPL 2020 was not enough, Rohit commented too, saying, “Looks like I am Fit and Fine’. This statement made by the Indian vice-captain at the toss should seriously raise some eyebrows at the BCCI and the Selectors who left the Mumbaikar out of the long tour even without having much knowledge of the same.
