Mumbai Indians have not had the best time in the world in the IPL 2021 when it comes to batting. However, their team effort, world class bowlers and some amazing captaincy from Rohit Sharma has placed them in a comfortable position in the Points table.
Something similar happened with them in their encounter against the Delhi Capitals. Skipper Rohit started well and was building a decent platform for their big-hitters to come in later and explode in the end. However, Amit Mishra and other DC bowlers ensured that the defending champions didn’t get to the total that they would have wanted to.
Credit to the Delhi veteran Amit Mishra who took the MI batsman by a storm as the bowler sent some big fishes to the pavilion. Mishra took important wickets of Rohit, Pollard and Hardik Pandya in a window of 10 balls.
MI Fans were angered with the way the MI batsmen just threw their wickets away in the middle-overs. DC fans, on the other hand, hailed Amit Mishra for being at his best despite approaching the twilight of his career. Here’s how the Twitter public reacted to MI’s batting fall:
Amit Mishra the game changer – gets Rohit, Hardik, Pollard – The power house of Mumbai Indians.

Amit Mishra is now just 8 wickets away from surpassing Lasith Malinga as the leading wicket taker of the IPL. One of the most underrated bowler in history.

The batting issues that Rohit Sharma and his men are facing can also be blamed to the slow pitch at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. The ball does not very well to the bat as per some of the batsman who have played here.
