Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah has time and again impressed many cricketing greats with his amazing bowling abilities at any part of the match, any type of ground. He is undoubtedly Rohit Sharma’s go-to man whenever the Mumbai Indians are looking for a wicket.

Mumbai crushed the Delhi side by 57 runs to become the first final contenders of the season. There were too many great performances from their end, but the one which stood out was by Bumrah. The paceman took 4 wickets for just 14 runs, making the game almost one-sided.

Jasprit Bumrah is the Best T20 bowler in the World – Shane Bond

Mumbai Indians Bowling coach Shane Bond was all praises for Bumrah after his match-winning performance in the 1st qualifier of the IPL 2020.

“Jasprit, it’s a privilege to watch the best T20 fast bowler in the world go about his work,” said Bond in a video posted by Mumbai Indians on their social media channels.

He also appreciated the efforts of another ace bowler Trent Boult. Boult was also too impressive as he picked two wickets in his very first over but had to leave the ground due to strain.

“I’ve loved working with Trent since 2012. We’ve seen him at his very best, and I was very excited to have him on our team. Because I know that what a devastating bowler he can be, and he has done that through this tournament for us.”

The former fierce fast bowler Bond also lauded the Mumbai Indians batting line-up, saying that it is as intimidating as it gets.

“We are an intimidating batting line-up. You sit in the shed, and it is just relentless. At 100/4, you felt that turn in the momentum. Delhi fought really hard through the middle of the innings and got themselves well back into the game. If they’d had a little bit more luck or perhaps been a little bit more accurate, we would have been under pressure at the back end,” Bond concluded.
