Mumbai Indians has yet again come up as the strongest team in the Indian Premiere League and has come up all the way to the finals.
Skipper Rohit Sharma has said that he and his team are really confident that they will surely win their 5th IPL title when they take to the field on Tuesday, locking horns against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Notably, Mumbai Indians are the most successful franchise of the tournament, having won four IPL titles so far. Also, Iyer’s team Delhi on the other hand, has not won any trophy yet.
This men in blue looked like the champions right from the start of league. Mumbai Indians finished the league stage as the table-toppers of IPL 2020 with 18 points in their bag. They handsomely beat Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier of IPL 2020 and are now on the verge of winning their fifth title of the tournament.
‘We Have a Phycological Advantage’ – Rohit Sharma
MI captain Rohit said in the press conference that they have a bit of mental advantage when it comes to IPL T20 finals.
“There’ll be a psychological advantage a little bit. I’m sure we’ll have the fifth one in the bag” – Said Rohit Sharma in a press conference.
“What we’ve seen with IPL is every day is a fresh day, every day is a new pressure and every game is a new game. So you can’t think too much about what has happened in the past,”
Rohit further said that final is not a very different game cricket-wise. It is just an another game for us and they just have to keep doing things right.
“To be honest, we can’t think about that we’ve played these guys before and we’ve beaten them. We just need to think that they’re a new opponent and what we’ll do as a team against that opponent. It’s that simple for us and we keep doing right things on the field,” – Concluded the MI skipper
