Raina even travelled with the team to UAE and later pulled out of the league citing personal reasons. Some reports even suggested that all was not well between him and the skipper MS Dhoni. Harbhajan on the other hand did not even make it to the United and Arab Emirates and stated personal reasons for his absence. The veteran off-spinner wanted his privacy to be respected and rightly so.

It is quite evident that the Chennai Super Kings are surely missing the duties of both the experienced campaigners of the game are not the same team that they used to be. The three-times champions are struggling at the bottom of the league with just 3 wins out of their 10 encounters. The men in yellow are almost out of the run for the play-offs.
In a recent interview with ANI, CSK CEO Vishvanathan stated that,
“Undoubtedly Raina and Harbhajan are both vital cogs in the CSK unit and they were missed. But you have to respect personal decisions and that is how we function irrespective of whether it is a senior or junior player,”
At the beginning of the tournament, certain reports suggested that CSK would no longer like to associate with these two players but it seems like the CEO understands and back their personal decisions.
