Any cricketing encounter between India and Pakistan is the most high-voltage stuff you will see on the ground ever. But when it comes to ICC events, the stakes are even higher and the pressure is even more. The fans are more enthusiastic than ever and the media is more energetic than ever.
As professionals, the players always think of the match being just like any other one because of all the right reasons but even they know that this is not something ordinary.
Once again, the India-Pakistan teams are all set to clash with each other on October 24 in Dubai during their first game of the ICC T20 World Cup. There has been enough buzz already around the match due to obvious reasons and this is why various experts are chipping in with their opinions ahead of the much awaited clash. The new to join the party is Yog Guru Baba Ramdev.
He went one step ahead and described this match is against the national interests keeping in mind the current political situation between the two nations.
“I feel that the cricket match under such a situation is against ‘Rashtradharma ‘ and not in the interest of the nation. The game of cricket and the game of terror cannot be played at the same time,” said Baba Ramdev as quoted by India Today.
It is a well established fact to fans that India and Pakistan now only meet in ICC events and last played a bilateral series in 2013 and played last ICC event together during the 2019 WC.
