Huge Blow for Team India as This Bowler is Ruled Out for One Month!

Some reliable Reports say that young Indian fast bowler Avesh Khan has suffered a Thumb surgery and is therefor ruled out of the 3 day warm-up match that India is playing against County XI.

Avesh Khan was travelling with the Indian team as one of the reserve pacers chosen by the Indian selectors, along with Prasidh Krishna and Arzan Nagaswalla. However, after this injury, he is likely to return home without even coming under much consideration.

Interestingly, Avesh Khan was playing for the County XI along with Washington Sundar as they were not having enough players for the game. The young paceman delivered 9.5 overs and gave away 41 runs for the County Select XI without a wicket before the thumb injury on his left hand stopped him from bowling. Khan could not come back on the field on day two and remained under BCCI medical team’s observation.

The BCCI source expressed that Avesh Khan is unlikely to participate in the Test series against England. The source further told that he cannot bowl for a month at least and his rehabilitation would take place after he has fully recovered from the injury. They would have more information in the next three days.

“Avesh is not likely to take any further part in the series leave alone this game. It’s a thumb fracture. He will not be bowling for at least a month and after that rehabilitation is likely to start. In another three days, the picture is supposed to get clearer,” the source told as reported by Indian Express.
