A BCCI official statement brought big relief for Rohit Sharma, Rishab Pant and Shubman Gill as they are included in the playing eleven for the third test match in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the legendary SCG in Sydney.
These players along with Prithvi Shaw and Navdeep Saini were isolated recently because they had gone out to eat outside in a restaurant potentially breaching the bio-bubble protocol.
The issue got even more escalated when an Indian fan posted a series of events on Twitter and even paying the bill for the cricketers. But at last after many social media criticisms and talks, great news follow for the Indian cricketers who would be making his comeback for India after a considerably long time.
Some reports suggested that the before mentioned players were given a separate bus by the management for travelling to the gym. Also, everything was done after taking care of the necessary precautions.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Australia (CA) were today alerted to a video post on social media that purported to show Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw and Navdeep Saini eating at an indoor venue in Melbourne on New Year’s Day,” a statement from Cricket Australia said.
“The BCCI and CA are investigating the matter and seeking to determine whether the outing constitutes a breach of biosecurity protocols,” the statement added. In the interim, on the advice of the Australian and Indian medical teams, the aforementioned players have been placed in isolation as a precaution. This will include separating the group of players from the broader Indian and Australian squads when traveling and at the training venue,” it added.
Meanwhile, the entire Indian squad is set to travel together to Sydney on January 04. The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will commence on January 07 at the iconic SCG.
